The New Rules of Trust: Communicating When Everyone Questions Everything

Mark your calendars!

On October 28, CPRS Hamilton presents a timely and topical session for PR professionals: The New Rules of Trust: Communicating When Everyone Questions Everything

With featured speakers Shana MacDonald, Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo and O’Donovan Chair in Communication Across the Disciplines and Nick Manning, AVP Communications and Institutional Relations at the University of Waterloo.

Trust in institutions, media, government, experts, and brands has become increasingly fragmented. Audiences are skeptical, misinformation spreads rapidly, and people often place more faith in peers and online communities than in traditional authorities. What does this mean for communication professionals? This session explores how organizations can earn, maintain, and rebuild trust in an environment where credibility is constantly being challenged.

CPRS Hamilton is grateful to the University of Waterloo for partnering on this free event.

It takes place during National CPRS week; brings the professional field together to recognize that work, share new research, celebrate emerging leaders, and focus on what comes next. This year’s theme is Building Trust Through Communication.
